Nolangroup was founded in 1972

and is currently the only company in the sector producing all its helmets in ITALY, being today the largest manufacturer in Europe: 400.000 helmets per year exported to more than 70 countries worldwide and a team of 390 people working in a single location which covers an area of 31,000 square metres in Brembate di Sopra (in the province of Bergamo).

The company produces both polycarbonate helmets under the Nolan and Grex brands, and composite fibre helmets, under the X-lite brand. These are joined by N-Com, Nolangroup's range of communication systems that are fully integrated and compliant with current regulations.

People and their knowledge

are the true assets in Nolangroup. About 400 people work every day to create helmets and communication systems, animated by the constant dedication to safety, quality and innovation.

The passion for the product is the result of craft traditions, manual ability and cutting-edge technology. The Research & Development, Marketing and Quality divisions are continuously searching for innovative solutions, in order to offer increasingly performing helmets, able to satisfy even the most demanding of consumers.

For Nolangroup, the true sense of “MADE IN ITALY” is a priceless asset that is universally recognized and appreciated.

Thanks to the attention and care to production, the Nolangroup S.p.A. plants have been awarded ISO 9001:2015 and SG (CPSA Japan) certification, the quality management system for companies: this entails constant improvement of the different production stages, from product design to its development, production and sale.

Research and development

In the concept stage ideas begin to take shape and are brought together in the form of an initial aesthetic prototype, which is the result of a combination of evolved computerised design techniques as well as the traditional methods of manual modelling.

This is followed by the actual design of the helmet, the creation of the first functional prototype, as well as the simulation of the fluid-dynamic and aero-acoustic behaviour of the product.

Lastly, road, track and wind tunnel tests allow for the collection of useful data, used to perfect the products performance before beginning mass-production.

For Nolangroup, races have always been synonymous with Communication and Research. As they represent the ideal testing ground and context for the emergence of vital technical solutions for the mass-production of all models, not just those specifically for racing.

Our green side

Since the beginning Nolangroup has always had a particular attention to the environment.

In 1998 we were the first company worldwide to introduce water-based paints on plastic, thanks to a cooperation with Sikkens.

In all our production sites we use led lighting and we are equipped with 200 kw photovoltaic panels.

Helmet packaging is entirely made of recycled material and painted with low enviromental impact colors.

Catalogs are made using FSC certified paper, from forests managed in a sustainable and responsible way.

We are improving the use of recycled fiber fabrics for the lining of our helmets.

Nolan group - 4 brands:

All phases of the production cycle of Nolan helmets are managed within the company: from the receiving of raw materials to the final inspection and packaging of the product. This is how we are able to guarantee the constant evolution of production technology, an adequate and thorough customer service and the safeguarding of the highest quality standards.

X-lite, a real challenge: Nolangroup shifts its own limits and knowledge to the segment of composite materials, where manual skills and handcrafted care join the most advanced industrial technologies.

Grex is originated back in 1993 and was immediately appreciated for its high quality, an offspring of the “Made in Nolan”, and for the affordable price of its products.

The N-Com – Nolan Communication System division was established in 2005.
The idea was to develop a communication system specifically for Nolangroup helmets, completely integrated inside the helmets, without altering the requirements in terms of look, comfort and compliance with applicable standards. This objective was successfully pursued by the Group which, starting in 2006, launched on the market a modular range of communication kits. The intuition turned out to be a winner.
